Message from cls

Dear Startup CXOs and Founders,

One of our primary areas of focus for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in 2023 was to increase the access to capital for CLS startup members, including our FAST alumni, through collaboration with leading partnering events like BIO Investor Forum, RESI, among others.

We are excited to share that we will be adding an Investor Partnering Forum at our upcoming Innovation Showcase, taking place December 12 at SmartLabs at Oyster Bay! The call for pitch applications is now open, please see details in this newsletter.

To help you extend runway, de-risk your technology, and work most efficiently on achieving the next milestone, we have forged collaborations with select CROs and clinical CROs who offer their services for equity, defer fees, or offer the advantage of R&D or tax credits. Please check further below the description of the offerings of Pfizer Ignite, WUXI Biologics, and Avance Clinical.

To help ensure startups are taking advantage of all of the benefits CLS is offering, including on-demand and live bootcamps and CXO preparatory sessions for key investor milestones like JPM Week, I will be hosting weekly office hours, every Friday from 3-4pm PT. This also presents us with an opportunity hear what additional offerings and/or programs you might need to help you achieve the next inflection point in your scaling journey.

I hope you will join us at the CLS Innovation Showcase on December 12, a wonderful opportunity to connect you with investors and corporate partners!

Kind regards,

Sibylle Hauser

In addition to mandating disclosures prior to receiving SBIR awards, companies must also regularly update NIH following any changes to a disclosure. View this webinar organized by the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) for a comprehensive discussion on how to effectively navigate these new rules as you apply for SBIR awards.
